Does this sound like you?


You have a smile on your face when you really shouldn’t. People ask, “How are you?” and you quickly reply, “Fine,” but are you really? As you answer you notice the twiddling of your thumbs and shaking of your legs, and they are accompanied by a strained smile. “I”m fine,” you say.


See the disconnect? There’s the mask of what we say to the world and then what’s really going on underneath. And if we don’t listen to what’s going on then it can sound like a a movie where the clip gets so muddy even trying to turn the volume up only results in no remote control to ever save the day. We are left with questions and zero sum game answers. So, if I ask you how you’re doing what are the chances that you’ll tell me from your true, authentic self? That’s the beauty of therapy. You get to be your authentic self. You get to be the best version of you. At least with me....
