When someone has experienced trauma, it’s common to avoid thinking about it or facing reminders of it. However, avoiding these feelings can make things worse in the long run. That’s where therapy comes in. I will help you confront what happened in a safe and supportive way. It's not like sharing your story and what I call over exposing. That might make you want to run or never come back to therapy. Safety needs to be established first as it's critical for healing to occur.
Slowly, and through the use of a trauma hierarchy (more on this later) you can share what you remember and talk about those scary or painful memories, helping you understand why you react the way you do. By facing these memories and feelings, you can start to feel better over time.
Therapy gives you the tools to cope and move forward, rather than staying stuck in fear and pain. It’s like untangling knots in a rope – therapy helps you unravel the complexities of your experiences so you can find peace and strength within yourself.
Are you ready to heal? It IS within your reach....
